Fatehpur Sikri is an artificial town in the middle of nowhere. Erected by one of the Mughal emperors, it dones an interesting mosque as well as a palace.

Fatehpur suffered from lack of water support, so it eventually was abandoned. All that keeps people around is tourism, I guess. Personally, I didn't feel there was much to write home about.
