The Hillside Group, Inc. is a non-profit dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone involved in software systems.
The Hillside Group is the driving force behind the patterns community. I have served the community in numerous functions, most notably on the PLoP and EuroPLoP conference committees.
I have been a member of the patterns community since 1994, a member of the Hillside Group since November 2000, a member of the board since December 2001, and the treasurer since January 2002. Under my leadership we published our first annual financial report.
