Yesterday night was Web 2.0 party night in San Francisco. I first attended the Socialtext BoF at Jillian's in the Metreon building. Ross Mayfield had brought in Ward Cunningham and a lot of interesting people showed up. I actually took the chance and talked with lots of the Socialtext people who I hadn't known yet. Quite an interesting (and enjoyable) bunch!

After the Socialtext BoF it was the official inofficial (or was it the inofficial official?) Web 2.0 party at SWIG's. The place was packed; I could barely move. Within a few minutes, I was soaking wet, my jacket had been poured over by at least three drinks, and I had introduced myself to five other people and vice versa without understanding a single word.

It sure felt like six years ago. Let's hope it won't be as delusional.
