I gave a talk today about the "Economic Stakeholders of Open Source" at the colloquium of the Hasso-Plattner-Institute at the University of Potsdam, Germany (Berlin, basically). The talk discusses the different business strategies and the underlying economic models that motivate the behavior of stakeholders in the open source ecosystem, like commercial open source firms, system integrators, and software developers. It is an extended version in talk form of my earlier IEEE Computer paper on the same topic. The talk was recorded and can be viewed courtesy of Tele Task here:
